UK Spiritualists are well aware of the tremendous effort led by Norwich Spiritualist Church president Linda Smith to restore the dilapidated grave of pioneer Emma Hardinge Britten.
New Zealand Spiritualists are showing a similar respect for one of their most remarkable pioneers, Jane Elizabeth Harris-Roberts (pictured) who passed in 1942.
Just like Emma’s, Jane’s grave was left untended for decades, but in Jane’s case it was simply because no one knew of its location.
According to the Spiritualist Alliance Communicator, “Long-standing member Bruce Graham recently located the grave at Auckland’s Hillsborough Cemetery,” and now plans are under way for some much-needed restoration work.
